The christening was wonderful, a really uplifting service in our village Church where Amelia Jasmine's Mum and Dad were married three years ago.
Born in and now returned to Yorkshire from Scotland, spending summers in Italy. I knit socks but prefer to wear flip flops

Thankyou for sharing memories of a happy family occasion.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds as if a wonderful time was had by all, especially Amelia!!
ReplyDeleteI love those really old churches, where I came from there was one of those and it always had a certain smell to it that I loved. My mother used to take me to the midnight service on Christmas Eve and it was always pure magic as a little child to see the twinkling lights.
A lovely weekend! It's good when families get together to celebrate a special event like this.
ReplyDeleteShe looks a real poppet! And that sounds a great service, which actually meant a lot to everyone. So many "Christenings" are just for the show, and the parents and Godparents haven no intention of setting foot in the church again!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a memorable family celebration. How great to see a photograph of your dad. (Knowing me, I would have cried!)
ReplyDeleteI meant GENERATIONS!
