Born in and now returned to Yorkshire from Scotland, spending summers in Italy. I knit socks but prefer to wear flip flops

Wise words
I've just been going through the Christmas cards before recycling them and I reread this message, it really makes me smile. So true though today I've managed a few hours in the much neglected garden, I wore my wellies.
No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. It's generally been so mild here that we contemplated doing something outside too, but blitzed the house instead after removing all the Christmas decorations. Knitting has slowed a bit due to having to go back to work last week and feeling like I'd been run over by a bus after my nice break. But I also need lots of things to do to keep me out of mischief, so I divide my free time between whatever suits me at the time! The heel is complete and now ready for the turn, but it was a bit past 9pm last night and I was winding down so I took your advice and decided to wait until I had more time and was more alert!
And I hope you had some chunky socks on inside those wellies! Me and the hub are going to Italy for the first time ever (I know!!) in September but it seems so LONG to wait - I am getting though these dark days by planning our trip - I may have to pick your brains.
Very wise to wear your wellies out there. Hope you get FF weather again soon.
ReplyDeleteI've had to swap the faithful FF for some warm slippers .... very sensible to wear wellies in the garden ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt is a bit of a treat being able to get out into the garden at this time of year regardless of footwear.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Won't be too long before you can wear your FFs again, hopefully! Ros
ReplyDeleteI'm longing for flip flop weather too! At least the days are starting to get longer. (And no, you CAN'T have Florence!!)
