I wanted to show you this birthday card featuring a knitted James Dean, its from the Knitted Icons range, apparently there is a book that has patterns for 25 celebrity dolls, Elvis, Ghandi, Jackie O, Chairman Mao are a few that feature. I'm busy with socks and scarves for stocking fillers at the moment so I don't suppose I shall be making any dolls but wouldn't a little Johnny Depp be nice to keep me company while Mr FF is away on business for a few days.
I must take my cards down now, it seemed fair to have them up for a while since I missed the first week they arrived. I suppose I should take the 60 off my sidebar too, one of last years cards, or maybe I can still be 60 just a little bit longer.
Belated birthday greetings! I've had a look at the celebrity dolls book and now can't decide between Jimi Hendrix, Albert Einstein and Che Guevara.
ReplyDeleteA belated happy birthday to you! The card is great fun!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a belated happy birthday! I think you can remain 60 for as long as you wish.... You certainly had some lovely cards and presents. Ros
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday!
ReplyDeleteGreat tip about the book - what home wouldn't be complete without a knitted Chairman Mao! Lol.
So will you be replacing your birthday cards with Christmas cards then?
Hee hee hee!!! Sorry couldn't resist...just read your comment on my last post. Don't worry - I also hate Crimbo things happening too early like lights and cards - but if you're into homemade stuff the prep has to happen a bit early.
But the actual display don't happen with me until middle of December.
Belated happy birthday! I still haven't changed my description of myself as a '30 something' despite having turned 40 earlier this year. And thanks for your comments on my blog - I have NO problem with getting personal stuff ready, as Steel Kitten says - it's all the depressingly commercial pressure to spend, spend spend..
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated birthday!! Why not go backwards and be 59!!!??? xxxxx
ReplyDeleteHappy, Happy Birthday...belated, dear Jenny! Glad you had such a lovely birthday... And the knitted James Dean is genial--love that, such fun! I'm not much for birthdays either, at least not my own-everyone else's is great! I'll be 37 in December...I shudder to think...LOL! Happy Day, my friend ((HUGS)
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday Jenny.........
ReplyDeleteThat card looks perfect for a knitter...
We are having terrible heat here and all my flowers are sadly wilting away, cant keep the water up to them, I think my sweet peas are just about over already.Maybe we could exchange our weather or make a mix of the two so we could both have the perfect weather.....
Happy Birthday xox
Happy Belated Birthday Jenny! It looks like you've received so many lovely cards and presents.
ReplyDeleteI love the James Dean card - it's so cute and funny!
