Edward: It's just that, uh, very few people surprise me.
Vivian: Yeah, well, you're lucky. Most of 'em shock the hell outta me.
I'm pleased to say that while few people shock me many continue to surprise me with their kindness.
On Saturday morning Pam called by with a selection of fruit from her garden in France,
apples, pears and a lot of these little peaches that didn't look anything special from the outside, but wait.
Such a deep colour and an intense perfumed flavour, I ate some for my breakfast and they were just delicious. Also a big bag of windfall plums from her Scottish garden that I turned into six jars of jam.

Lots of little acts of kindness that add up to a big positive feeling, thanks everyone.
That looks like a great book, some lovely socks to be knitted from this I'm sure. The plums look yummy!
ReplyDeleteI made some socks like those...jelly bean socks I called them as they were the artificial colour of jelly beans, for littlies feet. So cute they were that I have a pair where I can see them. Well, actually I don't have a littley to give them to, so might as well get pleasure from seeing them!

ReplyDeleteAnd it always makes me happy to see oodles of homemade jam lined up in pots.
The jam looks great! It's good to know that there is so much kindness out there. It brings you up short sometimes, when you least expect it! Might have to try some little feet socks! :D Ros
