They have to to get anything done.

From what I know of Italian banks every transaction causes as much fuss. It took hubby and I 1.5 hours to cash a traveller's cheque while on our honeymoon. He was put into a side room and left for 55 minutes at one point. He said he honestly thought he was going to be stripped searched or interrogated for the crime of being a tourist that needed funds. And like you, I got stuck in the blasted perspex box and no-one seemed to notice.

I took great delight in telling them what I thought of them in very fast English with a great smile plastered on my face. Then I went next door to the pharmacy to get headache bills.steelkittenhttp://steelkitten.typepad.com/steel_kitten/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8080816235590144089.post-8286803225406790362010-07-22T09:04:32.574+01:002010-07-22T09:04:32.574+01:00You read about the hassles at foreign banks, but p...You read about the hassles at foreign banks, but poor you, you found it!

I find English Banks bad enough!Gillyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00322140697547406511noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8080816235590144089.post-34202588903502902612010-07-22T00:31:26.914+01:002010-07-22T00:31:26.914+01:00Geezes. Fortunately although visiting our bank is extremely time wasting with similar rules to yours, like collecting cheque books and other odd to us rules. They are at least always friendly, as helpful as they can be and pleased to see us, we must have just picked a good branch.LindyLouMachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12282788551449445133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8080816235590144089.post-11078077288579614182010-07-18T11:48:47.706+01:002010-07-18T11:48:47.706+01:00OMG!!! It's hard to deal with any authorities but banks have to be the worst.

I've been trying to get 2,037.00 pounds in a British bank account (Lloyds) for a year and a half. My parents money and with mother in a home now, she needs it. It's not a lot of money but you'd think it was the crown jewels the way they're guarding it. I'm almost tempted to leave it there but it's mothers money, not the banks.
I've done everything they've told me, in triplicate, phoned at least six times, sent many registered letters plus a lawyers letter but they still keep ignoring me. They do nothing at all.
I am at my wits end.ameliahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17380296569508243613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8080816235590144089.post-3094630173784739112010-07-18T10:46:52.864+01:002010-07-18T10:46:52.864+01:00Sounds like my local bank!
